We once again ask for a big effort to Switch-Off this bank holiday weekend. This extra effort can make a very considerable contribution to UCD’s environmental footprint and help us progress towards our 2020 targets.
The festive period is with us again – which means that University buildings will be closed for 11 consecutive days. This marks the longest period of time that the University is closed all year and therefore offers us considerable potential to reduce our carbon emissions and energy usage.

As we approach the May Bank Holiday weekend, please remember to switch-off computers, laptops, printers, monitors and screens or non-essential laboratory equipment such as drying ovens and fume-cupboards.
