Space Management is administered by UCD Estate Services on behalf of the UCD Space Management Group, a sub-group of the Capital Projects Group (CPG).
University space is a shared resource and for the benefit of the entire University community, whether allocated to an individual or shared at any given time. The University Space Policy 2020 prioritises the provision of more shared resources and sets out principles for the management of University space (see Appendix 1).
The space needs of academic and support units are constantly evolving. To effectively respond to these needs, and to realign University space to University Strategy where required, the UCD Space Management Group (SMG) has developed this document to set out the processes and procedures for the allocation of space on campus.
This document should be read in conjunction with the UCD Space Policy 2020, and these guidelines will be reviewed and updated by the Space Management Group on a regular basis.
