"UCD Walk Safe Service" is designed to assist the UCD Community by providing walking escort services from one campus location to another. Members of UCD Security, fully PSA licensed, will provide the escort as assigned by Campus Services.

1. Who can use the service?
The UCD Community who feel a need to be assisted with this added level of security and safety after hours.
2. When is "UCD Walk Safe Service" available?
- Anytime, all the time*
3. How do I request the "UCD Walk Safe Service"?
Contact Campus Services by calling 01 716 7999 and request the “UCD Walk Safe Service”.
Please provide the following information:
- Your name.
- Your location.
- A contact telephone number.
- Your destination.
A security officer will be assigned and will meet with you at the location you have specified.
Security personnel can be identified by their uniforms; they carry two-way radios and are in continuous contact with the Campus Services Control Room.
Please be at the location when the security officer arrives. The officer may wait for a few minutes, but a “No Show” will negatively impact the ability we have to provide this service in a prompt and efficient manner.
*The “UCD Walk Safe Service” is provided in good faith and reserves the right to refuse escorts to persons who behave improperly, are abusive to security personnel or abuse the service.
