URooms – Teaching Spaces Guide
UCD’s new Urooms system provides bookings information and a visual sense of how teaching spaces are laid-out.
Also provided are details of equipment and set-up along with pedagogical guidance of how to maximise the teaching opportunities in each room type, which should be of assistance to lecturers in planning their teaching sessions.
The system was developed through a collaboration of UCD IT Services, UCD Estate Services and UCD Teaching & Learning.
The next phase of the URooms initiative will incorporate an on-line room booking system for ad-hoc seminars and meetings. It will also provide an option to display planned use of locally managed rooms, where appropriate.
