Each UCD fixed line extension requires a port on the University telephone system and as a result the extension is levied a monthly line rental charge whether or not the extension has made calls during the billing period.
Unit Heads and administrators are reminded to carry out periodic reviews of fixed line extensions within their unit to determine the requirement status of each and request the removal of any deemed to be no longer required.
