Commuting by Car
As traffic levels are expected to be high on Thursday and Friday, UCD Commuting recommend that if feasible commuters try and avoid travelling by private cars. If this is not feasible why not try car sharing, maybe you and some colleagues could share a lift. Car sharing opportunities are also available at www.carsharing.ie/ucd
As semester 1 permit parking is now in operation (since Monday, 12 September), commuters who have no other choice but to drive, but do not require an annual permit, may park in any permit car park for €1 per hour or €3 per day by using the following parkbytext code 0240 (this offer is only valid for the 15 & 16 September 2016).
Extra customer service stewards will be on hand on both days and the traffic calming barriers will remain open. Car parks at Roebuck and Newstead generally have more spaces available.
