Car Park N1 Extension Works

Enabling and construction works for the provision of 292 parking spaces on the remaining field and running track areas in car park N1 (Belfield House/old running track) commenced on Monday May 17th. Construction of these spaces will offset those decommissioned elsewhere on campus as part of scheduled capital development works.

As part of the project a significant landscaping and tree planting programme will be delivered including widening of the existing woodland boundary path in the area.

For the duration of this phase of works the existing section of car park N1 will remain open with local closures of parking spaces to facilitate construction access & egress from the works area.

This area of campus is popular with recreational walkers, joggers and runners. We have provided a link here to an alternative 1.5km loop taking in Belfield House, Glenomena Student Residences and Merville House (UCD Nova). On this loop you will also be able to take in recent additional cycle parking installed and view the route of a new shared pedestrian and cyclist entrance to campus on the R138 (N11).
