Cleaning – Breakdown – High Level

Priority Level – High Level: Daily clean and M&R Cleaners responding to requests; rubbish removed daily and more frequently if requested

Laboratories

Expected InputExpected Output
•       Vacuum floors thoroughly or sweep with period spray buff on vinyl floors.•       Carpeted floor areas free of obvious staining, dust build-up or superficial scuff marks.
•       Remove all cobwebs at high level.•       Hard/vinyl Floor uniform in appearance, free from marking and visually pleasing.
•       Dust all desks and seating and remove marks as necessary.•       Level surfaces visibly clean.
•       Dust all cleared level surfaces (with extreme caution and / or under advisement of lab manager).•       Desks/seating free of dust or marks.
•       Damp wipe /clean all doors and internal glass.•       Doors and internal glass wiped down and free from build-up of markings, finger marks, general dust and water mark splashes.
•       Remove all marks Chewing gum of walls, seats, work surfaces.•       All high-level fixtures free from build-up of dust, cobwebs other markings.
•       Remove marks from walls to hand height level (high dusting done monthly)•       Skirting boards free of dust or marks.
•       Replace all desks and chairs in an orderly fashion.•       All furniture/fixtures to be uniform in appearance, free dust, build-up and other debris.
•       Remove General and Mixed Dry Recyclable waste only. Local waste arrangements to be agreed with Lab managers.•       Desks and chairs in neat setup where possible.
•       Sinks etc.•       Free of high-level dust on ceiling, walls, grilles or other surfaces.

School Seminar Rooms / Classrooms

Expected InputExpected Output
•       Vacuum floors thoroughly or sweep with period spray buff on vinyl floors.•       Floor areas free of obvious staining, dust build-up or superficial scuff marks.
•       Remove all cobwebs at high level.•       Floor uniform in appearance, free from marking and visually pleasing.
•       Dust all desks and seating and remove marks as necessary.•       All high-level fixtures free from build-up of dust, cobwebs other markings.
•       Dust all level surfaces.•       Surfaces/Walls free of dust.
•       Damp wipe /clean all doors and internal glass.•       Doors and internal glass wiped down and free from build-up of markings, finger marks, general dust and water mark splashes.
•       Remove all marks Chewing gum of walls, seats, work surfaces.•       Zero presence of chewing gum.
•       Remove marks from walls to hand height level (high dusting done monthly).•       Desks orderly and ready for classes/lectures/seminars.
•      Replace all desks and chairs in an orderly fashion for lectures.•       Bins emptied, disinfected and clean of dirt, smudges or spills.

Medium Traffic Public/Common Areas

•       Vacuum carpeted floor area until visibly free of dust and debris.•       Floor areas free of obvious staining, dust build-up or superficial scuff marks.
•       Vacuum/ sweep and wash hard floor areas.•       Floor uniform in appearance, free from marking and visually pleasing.
•       Periodic buff of hard floors using a buffing machine and appropriate buffing pad.•       Stairs and stair-treads visibly clean and dry.
•       Sweep, wash and dry the toughened glass stair treads and landings.•       Bins emptied, disinfected and clean of dirt, smudges or spills.
•       Empty and clean all bins, replace bin liners.•       Bin - l iners replaced.
•       Clean walls, lockers, etc to hand height level.•       Surfaces/Walls free of dust or dirt or marks.
•       Clean doors / glazed panels, so that they are free of marks.•       Skirting boards free of dust or marks.
•       Dust all level surfaces.•       All furniture/fixtures to be uniform in appearance, dust free, build-up and other debris.
•       Spot clean any marks on walls using approved cleaning agent and cloth.•       Artwork and sculptures dusted (upon request).
•       Vacuum all mats.
•       Dust all artworks and sculptures with extreme care.
•       Damp wipe skirting boards, window ledges.

General Stairways

•       Sweep, wash and dry the stair treads, toughened glass and landings.•       Walls / skirting boards free of dust or marks.
•       Empty and clean all bins, replace bin liners.•       Doors and internal glass wiped down and free from build-up of markings, finger marks, general dust and water mark splashes.
•       Clean walls, to hand height level.•       Bins emptied, disinfected and clean of dirt, smudges or spills.
•       Clean doors / glazed panels, so that they are free of marks.•       Artwork and sculptures dusted (upon request).
