Car Park O2 Extension Works

Construction of an additional 224 parking spaces in car park O2 (rear of Belgrove Student Residences) to offset spaces decommissioned elsewhere on campus as part of scheduled capital development projects commenced in May 2021 and is now complete.

These spaces supplement the pre-existing spaces in car park O2.

This project delivers 26 electrical vehicle charging points along with a significant landscaping and tree planting programme.

Improved pedestrian and cyclist access to the Wicket Gate and Oakmount Creche is also now provided via an entrance on the western side of the development. This entrance also facilitates improved access from the Wicket Gate to the rear of the James Joyce Library and Newman Building and associated existing and recently installed additional cycle parking at those buildings.
